Hello, my name is Rafael Funchal and I am a web developer passionate about WordPress. The address of my website is https://rafaelfunchal.com.br, but since you are reading this page, you probably already know that.
What personal data is collected and why?
Comments
When you submit a comment on the site, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the IP address and the visitor’s browser data, to assist in spam detection. This same data may be sent to Jetpack, as I use the Jetpack comment feature. The Jetpack privacy policy can be accessed here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.
Akismet also reads some data to reduce the amount of spam. The Akismet privacy policy can be accessed here: https://akismet.com/privacy/
An anonymized string of characters created from your email (also called a Hash) may be sent to Gravatar to check if you are using the service. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site in comments, avoid sending those that contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Other visitors may download these images from the site and extract your location data from them.
Cookies
When you leave a comment on the site, you can choose to save your name, email, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience, so you won’t have to fill in your details again when you make another comment. These cookies last for one year.
If you have an account and access this site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be discarded when you close your browser.
When you log into your account on the site, we also create several cookies to save your account data and your display preferences. Login cookies are kept for two days, and screen options cookies for one year. If you select “Remember me,” your access will be maintained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie does not include any personal data and simply indicates the post ID related to the article you just edited. It expires after one day.
Embedded Media from Other Sites
Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, articles, etc. Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting the other site.
These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, incorporate third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with this embedded content, including your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to the site.
Who We Share Your Data With
How I use the hosting service from WordPress.com, Jetpack comments, Akismet anti-spam, and Gravatar profile images, data is shared with Automattic – https://automattic.com/privacy/
The site also uses Google Analytics services, therefore, browsing behavior on the site is sent to Google – https://cloud.google.com/security/compliance/lgpd?hl=pt-br
How long do we keep your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. We do this so that we can recognize and automatically approve any subsequent comments instead of holding them for moderation.
For users who register on our site (if applicable), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (just not their username). Site administrators can also view and edit this information.
What Are Your Rights Regarding Your Data
If you have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You may also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data that we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where We Send Your Data
Visitor comments can be flagged by an automated spam detection service like the Akismet and Jetpack mentioned earlier.
How We Protect Your Data
For the services mentioned above, I do not use any other system that has access to the data generated by this site, and I do not share the follower list with other services.
